The Broken Covenant is a powerful exposé of how Benjamin Netanyahu’s leadership has reshaped — and endangered — Israeli democracy. Drawing on firsthand experience, historical context, and investigative reporting, author Robbie Michaelson traces how Netanyahu’s pursuit of power has weakened Israel’s institutions, emboldened extremism, and alienated allies. From judicial overhauls to the abandonment of hostages, from media manipulation to preferential treatment for religious factions, this book documents how one leader’s ambition has placed the very soul of the Jewish state at risk.

Written in the wake of the October 7th Hamas attacks and during a time of war with Iran and Hezbollah, The Broken Covenant is more than a political critique — it is a call to action for Israelis, Jews worldwide, and all defenders of democracy to confront the cost of complacency. Deeply researched and passionately argued, the book challenges readers to reckon with the past in order to protect Israel’s future.
